Father Joseph Pascal Arbois, the local priest, suffers many trials and tribulations perpetrated by ghosts and time warps that cause great consternation for him and his parishioners. Alas, he also worries about his parish church which is likely to collapse at any moment due to an infestation of a particularly pernicious strain of woodworm. And, as if that werent enough, Father Arbois is constantly in peril of being swept up by one of the amazing, but slightly flawed inventions of the local aristocrat, Count Altermark du Claud Bonneville and dumped into the ice cold, rushing waters of the River Arve. Readers of all ages are invited to come along for a wild ride with Father Arbois in one of the Counts wondrous machines, but beware...you might just wind up laughing your head off! Review I have just finished reading Arbois. A winter's trials and tribulations and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It is engaging and amusing and a good read. Equally it is a book one can read in bed a chapter at a time as it is easy to pick up the tread. It will be interesting to see if the next book by the author robin shea, which moves from winter into spring is as engaging. I hope it is. I rate this book a 4 star read.I have had the pleasure of knowing the author Robin Shea when he used to be my manager in my previous job. I can honestly say Robin is one of the nicest funniest and charismatic persons. I look forward to purchasing a copy of the book having read a small manuscript portion when he was just commencing this novel a few years ago. Thank God you finally got it finished Robin, I will be checking diligently for any spelling or punctuation errors -only joking. best  regards Jim Wilkinson From the Author Robin Shea lives in southern England.
