Not much is known about Al-Jahiz's early life, but his family was very poor. Born in Basra, c. 781 - December 868 or January 869, he asserted in a book he wrote that he was a member of the Arabian tribe Banu Kinanah. His nephew also reported that Al-Jahiz's grandfather was a black African. This particular work is intended by Al-Jahiz to demonstrate that the original man ( Black African ) is to be honoured for the many outstanding and unique attributes they posses over other races. This writing is significant due to it being a firsthand account and witness testimony of the achievements of the native African.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Mia Karts","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52158460461344,"sku":"NEW1532708688","price":25.93,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0980\/7426\/3840\/files\/61fXObCNMlL.jpg?v=1786079660","url":"https:\/\/miakarts.com\/products\/book-of-the-glory-of-the-black-race-1532708688","provider":"Miakarts Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
