Product Description An eclectic blend of poems, A Song for Me is the debut collection from poet Susan E. Henry. Prevalent in Henrys poetry is the theme of nature, but other poems explore romance, relationships, spirituality, and pure whimsy. The works collected in A Song for Me have been composed over a span of twenty years, and illustrate the range of the poets inspirations. About the Author Susan E. Henry was born in a small town in Kentucky. Susan's first professionally published piece appeared in How to Jump from a Ferris Wheel and Land on your Feet, Volume V. The short non-fictional piece describes Susan's triumph over depression, and was written in the hope that others who battle the illness will seek help. Influenced by the unique style and voice of Emily Dickinson, Susan drew inspiration from the world around her and poured out her perspective into her poetry. This book represents the realization of a dream that has been more than thirty years in the making, as well as a celebration of life. Now living in Melbourne, Florida, she is inspired daily by the natural beauty of her tropical surroundings, as well as the friends and family who enrich her life.
