This is the first book in a series of historical fantasy/shadow history about 19th century Covington/Newport, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. You think you know the history of this region and the events that shaped it? You really don't. You think you know the notable people who were born or lived here and who went on to influence the country and the world? You might be surprised. This is the area that was once considered for the nation's capital, the "Paris of the West," and was the home to many famous Americans who influenced U.S. and world history. But it also, for a time, became the focal point for the forces of dark magic, mythological creatures, and international conspiracy. Now over a century removed from that time, the truth can finally be told. Are you ready for it?
