A true story. In early 1800, before the white man, Southeast Africa is a cauldron of clans led by warlords. Two leaders set out to unite them: Dingiswayo favors dialogue; his protégé, Shaka, goes for the spear. Shaka, bastard son of the Zulu chief, is taunted unmercifully. At six, he is banished and seeks revenge as a warrior. Through Shakespearean twists he becomes chief and hammers the tiny Zulu army into superb athletes. In several great battles they encircle the enemy with his "Horns of the Bull" pincer. Master of tactics, Shaka uses espionage, deception, guerilla warfare, logistics, training, discipline, cohesion, and flexibility - the elements of "modern" war. See www.AfricanCaesar.com
