Written in accord with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and rooted in the sound catechetical principles of the National Catechetical Directory, these texts present a well-defined curriculum model that stresses clear objectives, careful organization, and creative methods and evaluation procedures to check the attainment of goals. Very flexible, allowing teachers to select materials to highlight and stress, each text can be implemented on various grade levels for a quarter, a semester, or a full year depending on the length and frequency of class meetings. High school seniors must not only understand the core of Catholicism, but must also be able to apply their beliefs to the many crucial areas of contemporary living. This text, a complete synthesis of the Catholic Faith, is an important tool to help achieve that goal. It examines what it means to be Catholic by exploring the core of the faith as professed in each article of the traditional Nicene Creed, as it is lived out in the personal and social lives of its members, and as it is celebrated in prayer and worship. The text follows a clear and precise outline that will be appreciated by both students who are refining their knowledge and those who are being re-introduced to what it means to be Catholic
