Richard E. Boggs's first published book, Collected Works, is a journey into the imagination and life of a gifted writer. With the novella, Roughneck, Boggs brings vivid tales of adventure in the West of the modern era. The Silver Gun, another novella, takes the reader on a fast paced ride into the shadowy world of secret agents. The themes of The Silver Gun and Roughneck are at once American, universal and timeless. Man confronting himself in a world gone mad as well as Man going mad in a crazy world. In the autobiographical Snakebite, Boggs in clear, concise writing takes us on a chilling ride documenting his descent into a dark, alien world of drugs and alcohol. Reminiscent of Charles Bukowski's writings, Richard E. Boggs will force the reader to examine his or her perception of those among us who step off the merry go round into an existence of unimaginable struggle and loss.
