Find a cruel and cozy corner beside the candlelight and slip into the strange world of Fred Wilder. Poetry of Filth is a collection of dark, Gothic, sexually frenzied, twisted poetry and some horror poems, for those fond of troubled sleep brought on by depraved dimensions in prose. These are the poems that inspired the artist, the seeds that germinated in a soiled mind and grew into Fred Wilder art films; Spleen of St. Louis, Vampire Flesh, and Das Puppets, to name a few. Kept in this cache of poetry are writings that suggest the feeling of children of the Gothic classics, while others are offspring of cut-up poetry of the Beats. Any fan of Gothic and horror should add this volume to their dark alternative library.
