Ingstrom Ferlox: Ex-dreamer, fabulous alcoholic, Kurt Cobain deathwish. He's tired of striving for life's answers. His humor is black and morbid. He'll take any substance that has a warning label. And he's about to embark on the greatest journey of his life...Joanna Jaffey (JoJa): Ing's ex-wife, now part-time caretaker. She wants to be around to watch him regain his sense for life. Secretly, she might even marry him again if he does. But she's playing it awfully cool...Doc Schulman: Old friend and Ing's main cohort. A bit of a risk-taker and far from your conventional country physician. He's been known to sample his own nostrums, and is sometimes found naked in odd spots around town...When Ing is diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, the challenge becomes not to slide deeper into depression, but to encapsulate life into the poetry of days, into the music of weather, into gathering pieces of moonlight which reflect upon the midnight water, and carrying them in his heart into the hereafter. And with a little help from unexpeted sources, Ing might just accomplish something no one had imagined...
