Throughout our lives we will all encounter death. To relate to epitaphs is to draw from the many emotions experienced when dealing with the passing of human life. From the hope and promise of the hereafter, to the sorrows of those who have lost a true love, to the proclamations regarding the shortness of life and the certainty of death, the epitaphs in this book offer an insightful walk through a fictitious graveyard whose stones give memorial to those entombed. In the comical corner of the cemetery, we even find amusing epitaphs including the tribute by the widower who will not miss her husband's snoring, the golfer who is now whacking balls in heaven with the angels, and the complainer of a lumpy coffin. Come explore the spirit of death, and the poetic tributes created in recognition of our mortality.
