Jean Marshall, a Special Forces veteran turned independent contractor, is on a routine assignment in China when he is picked up by a DEA helicopter and his mission is aborted. Upon his return to New York, he finds his home invaded and his family's life in danger, and that's not the extent of his troubles. Marshall's long-time friends and operating partners, Delta Force Team Sierra, are soon following their own path to stop a crisis of global proportions, while Marshall's daughter, Sara, and her boyfriend, Jacques Laroche, fight to stay alive and bring the traitors responsible for the crisis to light. Soon, loyalties all over the world are being tested, from Beijing to Prague to Washington, and the only ties that can be trusted are those that are etched in blood. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Foreign Language Guidelines (for English-speaking students of French): The novel is written in French, however its constructions are not overly complicated or archaic, and with a good command of the passe simple, and occasional references to the glossary of specialized military terms at the back of the book, a non-native speaker who has completed two to three years of high school French (or equivalent program of study) should be able to read it comfortably.
