Product Description While walking his dog, Elliott finds a rare Matron Head coin dated 1831 in the road in front of an historic mansion. He becomes obsessed with knowledge of its prior owners. Love letters found in the attic of the old mansion chronicle the daily lives of a soldier and his nurse during the Civil War, who passed the coin back and forth as a talisman and symbol of their love. Research into both the coin and the mansion takes Elliott and his research assistant, Hatch on a mental odyssey back in time, where events appear vaguely familiar. Elliott realizes he was destined to find the coin to right the wrongs of the past 150 years. About the Author Anita Hacker Yingling was born in Maryland. Before her retirement, she worked at the University of Baltimore School of Law as the Director's Assistant for Clinical Programs providing legal services to the elderly. She is a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, albeit an adventurous one, having traveled to all seven continents. Her travel preferences run toward the exotic, having camped with the Masai Warriors on the Serenghetti, slept in the canopy of the Amazon jungle and bathed in a thermal lake in Antarctica. She is active in her church and belongs to a women's investment group, garden club and enjoys poker. Talking and living with people all over the world has been fodder for her brain and she considers the world her classroom, where she continues to learn more about life than can ever be read in a a book.
