Stephen Koury shows readers how to paint the beautiful, delicate colors and textures of the smaller side of wildlife: butterflies, bees, insects, amphibians, hummingbirds and tiny mammals. Through a series of step-by-step mini-demos in acrylics, he shows readers how to create the intricate designs characteristic of these captivating creatures, including the: * Transparent qualities of dragonfly wings * Fuzzy appearance of bumble bees * Damp, smoothly textured skin of frogs The final chapters of the book are devoted entirely to setting these creatures into a realistic environment in order to create a most accurate and attractive painting.
