This is a gripping, fast action tale that takes place in the dangerous and exciting time of the Texas Territory during the late 1840's. A time of marauding Indians, cattle barons, rustlers, gun fighters and con men, all striving to survive. Jed Garrett is returning to this clash of cultures after serving in the Mexican-American War. It is guaranteed to hold your interest from beginning to end."This is no time to be stupid," he reasoned as he ducked down lower, knowing he was obviously out manned. Even though his firepower was superior, it still would not be much help against all of those braves. And even with his repeating Colt, he knew he couldn't escape if they circled and attacked. It was definitely a losing situation. Cautiously he watched and saw they were tracking something ahead of them! With a start, he realized, "Oh, my God! It's me!"
