Eight year old Nicholas Wells is dealing with this dilemma. It is nearly Christmas and the Wells family has recently moved to a small town. Despite having his mischievous younger brother s companionship, Nicholas feels alone and wants nothing more than to have a good friend nearby: someone who can lift his spirits and warm his heart. As Nicholas soon discovers, the good friend we need is sometimes as close as our own front yard. Nicholas and his new friend, Simon the Snowman, prove that promises are meant to be kept and that true friendship can withstand any obstacle. This heartwarming tale of childhood dreaming and friendship is a perfect gift for young children or adults longing to re-live a moment of childhood magic once again.
