Five men who carved a life out of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Their love for this land and the life they found showed courage, perseverance, and fortitude. The Finnish of this land call it "Sisu". These profiles show the determination of: a man who followed his dream to start a butterfly house on Mackinac Island, a man who ran a thriving mechanics business out of a run-down gas station, a man who came home from Vietnam and escaped to the northern woods as a successful logger, a man who developed a reputable funeral business, and a pastor with a vision for the people of upper Michigan.
