Product DescriptionSUGAR BEAT is about blood and sugar and the battle to balance the two; it's about simplifying the most complex of conditions, with a narrative that amuses as much as it shocks; it's about inspiring the individual to beat the highs and lows of this disease; it's about providing the tools needed to avoid the mistakes the author himself made.Review"Going Rogue" for Diabetes: Nic is a Brit so don't expect a magic fix; nobody's got one of those, but Sugar Beat is still informative and fun to read. --Diabetes Mine, December 3, 2009From the AuthorMy experiences with type 1 diabetes, inspired me to become a nurse. When I lost control of my condition, I assumed the UK's National Health Service would help me to regain it. When it didn't, I was forced to leave my country of birth to seek the help I needed to maintain my life. SUGAR BEAT is my account of how I achieved this. If a donut like me can balance his blood sugar level, then so can anyone. If you don't believe me, Search Inside to read about how I learned to balance my blood sugar level the hard way.
