Humorous short stories about growing up from teens to adulthood; military; college; and stuff about life. The author writes: "I wore a necktie each day for the first thirty years of my teaching career. In some ways it was the only thing separating me from my students - especially the high schoolers. I was never a conventional social studies teacher; Read Chapter 6 and answer the questions on page XX. I like to think my personality, sense of humor, and knowledge of subject kept my students engaged. My wife has said more than once, You either loved him or hated him - nothing in between. She also says what I acknowledge: I loved going to work every morning. I couldnt have made a better choice for a lifetime career! My penchant for observing human behavior helps explain my reason for writing this book."
