Starting with the fascinating history of the European tarot and its Egyptian roots, author Cassandra Eason describes what tarot cards are, how they work, and how to use them for divination, insight, and greater self-understanding. From cleansing a deck and seeking protection from negative energies to reading for others and keeping a tarot journal, Complete Guide to Tarot introduces readers to a revered fortune-telling tradition. Card by card, Eason dispels common misconceptions and fears and explains what each of the symbols represents and how it relates to other cards. She walks readers through basic card layouts and, later, more complex arrangements. She also explains how tarot can be incorporated into other practices and studies, such as meditation, Jungian work, Kabbalah, numerology, magic, and astral projection. Complete Guide to Tarot offers an intriguing foray into the occult.
