A corporate refugee takes a 5 month and 15,000 mile drive around the U.S. - literally. Scott Wayne left his job in October and drove the perimeter of this magnificent country. His wry observations of the people, places and sights pepper the trip with humor and the insights of someone with a whole lot of time on his hands! It's a fun journey around America and unencumbered with the chores of a day job. The journey starts at The Grand Hotel amidst the beautiful Autumn colors of northern Michigan - and ends there as well, with the area blanketed in snow and ice. Throughout the trip Scott sees America as few have - from the full majestic perimeter of our coasts and borders. Bars, restaurants, museums and cities, National Parks and open spaces ... and all the creatures in them .. . are reviewed with an off the wall candor. Lovers of travel, America as well as those who just want to take their job and shelve it, will enjoy this humorous read of this perimeter journey.
