The only man that Melany Starks ever loved was dying-quickly he was disintegrating before her eyes. Why did she care? He ignored her and watched from among the shadows while she crumbled under the stress and strain of loving only him. He stood by as a spectator while she held on with dear life to what was left of their family long after he walked out in a dramatic and twisted turn of events. It was neither he nor his love that saved her; though it was he and his deceit that pushed her to rock-bottom. Jalen and Melany Starks lived a fairytale life, in the eyes of many. Alas, secrets lurked behind the doors of their mansion, and sick skeletons lived in the closets of his unlikely partners in infidelity. As each part of Jalen's front falls to pieces, so does Melany's life and her ability to cope. Nevertheless, the darkest part of the night is just before the break of day. Only after seeking God does she manage to renew her life and the lives of every one affected by the life and death of Jalen Starks.
