I like books about a community with a mix of characters. I especially enjoy Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series and Hanna Alexander's Hideaway series. These books are a mix romance, mystery, and suspense. The balance is different is each book, some have more romance, some have less. It's the people and their unique stories I like. These people are my friends. I like them because they can go anywhere with me. Over the years, my husband and I have moved many times and left friends scattered across the nation, but my storybook friends stay with me wherever we move.I think the next best thing to reading a good book is writing one. So I let my characters tell me their story and I enjoy sharing their experience as I write the chapters. I created the community in Myrtle Hill and I love the characters living there. I plan to let them tell their stories, each in their own way. Most of the stories can stand alone but they're all connected. The main characters share a strong faith and believe they are God's boots on the ground. They sometimes call themselves earth angels. They simply mean that when they are in the right place, at the right time, they are ready to serve. They are ordinary people until "something" makes them special. Sometimes their lives are filled with romance, sometimes mystery, and sometimes suspense... but they're always God's boots on the ground.
