About the Author Raised on a dairy farm in New Zealand, Tom's earliest memories were of being told he was "born useless" and that he should run away and never come back. He was physically, mentally and emotionally abused up to the age of ten or twelve and unfortunately, some of his teachers at high school contributed their own part by telling him he would never rise above filling potholes with gravel, and should leave at the age of 15. Joining the Navy took the mental/emotional abuse to another level. The military is gifted at making people feel they are totally useless, in a huge variety of ways. So Tom felt he rated about amoeba level on the scale of life until he met a Grand Master in the martial arts, who transformed his life. He has taken himself from that amoeba rating, to having achieved every personal and business goal he has ever set for himself, and Tom now devotes himself to helping as many others as he can, to rise above the misinformation that may be crippling them too, and to realise their own greatness.
