This is the first book in a series of heartwarming stories about Austin, a young boy who adopts his first puppy, a terrier named Maisy from a local shelter. With the support of his mother and father, he begins the gratifying journey of successfully training her to be a lovely, well-mannered dog with a delightful surprise at the end. Through positive reinforcement, love and respect, and emphasis on building self-esteem in both Austin and Maisy, Austin learns that with hard work and a bit of common sense, any puppy can be a dog of your dreams.
