Sheppard or "Dr. V." is a wife, mother, and scientist who enjoys encouraging and motivating others to believe that all things are possible with God. Dr. V. enjoys telling stories and hearing the stories of others. She cherishes spending time with her husband and sons (her boys) and laughing with family and friends. As a health scientist, much of Dr. V.'s time is spent on finding ways to improve the lives of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer through research and service. While she writes virtually everyday, most of her work has been published in scientific journals so she is delighted to have completed her first children's book. This book began as a story for her sons. Experiencing life through the eyes of a child is a sure way to prevent boredom. Her goal is that children, particularly young boys, will enjoy her book, develop a love for reading, and find their own voice through the power of stories! She comes from a long line of educators who instilled in her early the love for books. Dr. V. plans to continue her career in science and desires to inspire future adventures through more children's books.
