It is pretty bad when the best you can hope for out of your elected officials is that they do nothing at all since they never do what you want them to. If you take a look at our congressional office holders, some of them miss an awful lot of votes. Are they on vacation? Are they accountable for anything once they take office? They certainly do not work fulltime, why should we pay them for full time work? In fact why don't we only pay them when they do what we want them to do or what they promised they would do when we elected them? Author K. S. Faulkner delivers a blistering tirade on the American government with this series of essays. She pulls no punches with her challenging observations on a variety of topics, including education, partisan politics, government outsourcing, and voting. From America's turbulent international relationships in the chapter entitled "They Always Hated Us," to the pursuit of ever-elusive happiness in "The Myth," Faulkner shares opinions on matters that affect us all.Simultaneously entertaining and thought-provoking, Is It Time to Outsource the Government will compel you to take a deeper look at the issues facing America today.
