Product Description The art of poetry is as versatile as the building blocks of matter. Limitless possibilities await any poet brave enough to forge ahead, plowing into the morass without blinders but rather sharp insight and a fearless desire to discover all that can be. For A. D. Fallon, the idea that the journey is the destination couldnt be truer as she explores the nature of being from both humanistic and scientific perspectives, delivering breathtaking insight and a profound sense of connection. Contemporary experimental poetry that fuses elements of surrealism and language poetry meets the language and formulas of science as Fallon addresses the passage of time, death, love, loss, relationships, and the small epiphanies that make up everyday life. The result is nothing short of extraordinary. Containing mostly short lyric free-verse poems that range from the experimental to the grotesque, she marries avant garde traditions with accessible and lucid writing that utilizes scientific language and concepts in fresh ways, simultaneously making them somehow more quantifiable while solidifying their relationship with the unseen but felt rhythms that make our human experience a shared one. Reminiscent of the works of E. E. Cummings, Lorine Niedeker, and Rae Armantrout, Fallons second collection is a surreal, witty meditation on the human experience that is as entertaining as it is thought provoking. Her keen eye and sense for the universal exposes the beating heart of our collective journey with an understanding both intimate and immense. Fresh, provocative, and endlessly imaginative, Mindseyes Consort is the ultimate companion for postmodern literature and art enthusiasts. About the Author A.D.
