And you thought high school couldn't get any scarier...13th Street School - actually an elementary school, middle school, and high school - is located at the corner of 13th Street and Waiting Place. You might call it a magnet school, but instead of attracting the gifted and talented, it draws the creepy and warped. The school's mascot, the Wolverine, makes tracks where it shouldn't; the new state-of-the-art computer takes its DELETE and END keys a little too literally; science projects get a little out of hand; and the librarian lets nothing - not even a fatal fall - keep her from her daily fitness walk.At this school, unruly students are vaporized into chalk dust, those who skip school find the real meaning of "cutting class," and kids learn to be very careful about the nicknames they give their teachers. These scary school stories will teach readers the importance of courage and resourcefulness.
