THE CAVE Bob and Megan are in love, and avid cave divers. To celebrate their marriage, they decide to go cave diving with friends to an unexplored underwater cave Bob discovered. But when a fellow divers prank turns into a tragic disaster, Bob, Megan, and their best friend Sara find themselves lost in a nightmarish network of underwater tunnels. With their air running out, they wash up on the shores of an underground lake, where a tribe of Neanderthals mistake their human visitors for gods. Escaping the cave, the three friends discover a clan of early humans. And so begins an epic quest for survival, in an untamed land where three unprepared individuals have to confront their primal essence in order to make it out alive. And a world in which they might not survive. THE CAVE is packed in profound moral questions, romance, murder, cannibalism, and time travel. It is an adventure tale that will curl your toes, a heart-pounding nightmare of being the hunted in an alien environment, and a courageous story of life, death, desperation, and human triumph. ForeWord Review Three Stars (out of Five) Jay Londo, the author of several novels, should be commended for attempting an epic tale of desperation and triuph. His subject matter covers such disparate topics as insurance fraud, romance, cave diving, early human existence, hunting, and time travel. Londo shows talent for developing and managing an extended plot that covers many years and many miles. Andi Diehn "Bob and Megan feel certain they are embarking on a life long journey of happiness. They are in love, and they have enough money to buy a house on Lopez Island in the Puget Sound area of Washington state. Even though mere days seperated the time the couple met and when they married, they believe that they are on the right path. But before they move into their new home, they must go on more dives with their friends. The vast, underwater cave that Bob discovered off the West Coast a few days before they met is too tempting to leave unexplored. Unexplored. Un fortunately, a fellow diver's prank turns into a tragic disaster when Bob, Megan, and her best friend, Sara, find themselves lost in an extensive network of underwater tunnels, rivers, and waterfalls. Luckily, before their air runs out, they wash up on the shores of an underground lake, where after some exploration, they find a tribe of Neanderthals who mistake their human visitors for gods. And so begins the friends' education in savagery, early animal husbandry, and survival.
