Product Description For a young child, the nighttime dark can be frightening. When one little girl confronts her fears, she learns her mother was right, and your eyes can play tricks on you, especially in the dark. From the Author Night was a very difficult time of day for me as a young child. I had a dreadful fear of sleeping alone in my bed. As a sample of the text from The Hall Closet Light explains:

I was very uneasy that quiet night
My body couldn't relax just right. She even turned on the hall closet light. About the Author Nelda Buchanan lives by an estuary in Orange, Texas with her husband of thirty-four years, Jeff. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with Certificates in Geology, Kindergarten, Early Childhood-Exceptional Children and English as a Second Language from Lamar University. Currently she works as a kindergarten teacher at Port Neches-Groves and has been teaching for over twenty-eight years. Nelda, too, experienced a fear of the dark as a young child and hopes this book will help other children overcome their fears. Brook Fontenot, Nelda's oldest daughter, is the illustrator of The Hall Closet Light. Brook teaches art and coaches softball in Port Neches, TX where she lives with her husband Caleb. She has a Bachelors of Art in Graphic-Design with a minor in Advertising from Drake University. She has a Teaching Certificate and Master Degree in Administration from Lamar University.
