You won't be able to put this one down." - Vanessa Goddard, Author of A Call HomeFrom the AuthorIn writing the Nautical Mile Series, I've come to cherish the charm and tranquility that came from entering my children's imaginary world.  The first books I wrote followed my boys around their day to day lives, revealing treasured moments for all to see.  The side story of Lady Em and the Aqua Defenders, while equally enjoyable, was very different.  It was filled with action and adventure.  I have written, re-written, tossed out and started again - chapter upon chapter in telling the story of Aquatica and Lady Em's legacy.  That's where Lost at Sea begins. As an incredible dreamer, I can see an entire product line devoted to the Nautical Mile Series.  From Capt'n Black Bear to Calico Jack, two characters filled with charisma, both easily transformed into a child's favorite stuffed animal.  Then there's the nautical totem from Blueberry Ridge, a blue stone with a sailboat, to be worn by all those questing for the magic hidden beneath the waves.  Lastly and perhaps most importantly, there's the Adventure Pack with No Fail Sail Wear and electric eel belt buckle with glittering green eyes.  But big dreams are not easily realized by those with empty pockets.  Maybe one day I'll see the Nautical Mile Series become all it's meant to be.
