J. Gene Vargas was born in Washington DC and raised in Europe. He has resided in Northern Nevada since 1980. In 1996 he founded Followers Christian Fellowship (Luke 9:23), a small non-denominational church. Since becoming a Christian in 1981, he has always possessed a deep yearning to both live the high standard of God in Christ and to encourage it in others.
