Twenty-one luminous original photographs illustrate visions of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Nuestra Seora de Guadalupe is a mystical beacon for spiritual seekers, a cultural emblem, a Catholic icon. Her message of hope has touched millions; she brings smiles where there were tears, joy where there was grief, and health where there was suffering and disease. A despondent old man, a beautiful but selfish young woman, a sad and sickly boy: in Blessings of Guadalupe, each receives a visit from La Virgen, and each is given a life-altering vision of divine love. The inspirational text of Blessings of Guadalupe is accompanied by Eryk Hanut's radiant photographs of retablos and other folk art images from the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
