Included with the instruction are stories and examples of what has worked for other coaches across the country.Because of the highly technical nature of golf, great emphasis is put on teaching swing technique. The book covers subjects such as mastering contact, ball flight, and distance; focusing on the short game; improving scoring performance; and developing a pre-shot routine.Author Bill Madonna, who has been a PGA teaching professional for 30 years and has conducted more than 40,000 golf lessons, clearly understands the philosophy of coaching and communicating with students. He is also the founder and head of the National Association of Golf Coach Educators (NAGCE), the organization responsible for supplying general information, teaching materials, and certification for high school golf coaches. If you are involved in coaching or working with young golfers in any way, then this is the book for you. You will receive a greater understanding of teaching the fundamentals of golf, and you will also be able to organize better practices and manage your time and resources more effectively. The methods are so straightforward and practical that you will be able to apply them to your own team immediately.
