In this second edition, Colyer's successors at the Odontological Museum have fully revised the text in the light of new knowledge, while preserving the best of Colyer's own material. The numerous illustrations, classics of their kind, have been reproduced to a high standard from Colyer's originals and many new figures have been incorporated.
