Lew Travis is a curmudgeonly seventy-two year old part-time investigative reporter who lives in Sienna, a small town in Northern Californias Sierra Nevada foothills. He decides to look into the suspicious drowning of a prominent local attorney with whom he had a difficult history, and soon finds himself involved with a brutal biker and a gorgeous femme fatale less than half his age. In addition to the intrigue and suspense, this book provides insights into this colorful region and the Native Americans who once populated it, while introducing the cast of characters that inhabit this series.
