A delicious taste on its own and a very good accompaniment to most others, a source of good health and longevity and one of the oldest processed foods of mans history, yogurt is a common food item throughout the world. Yogurt is the pearly manna which continues to lead us to good health. A carefully structured questionnaire was self-administered to the urban Indian subjects in the age group of 18-30 years with the view of obtaining a holistic picture of their perspective towards yogurt consumption. The statistically analyzed findings have reconfirmed an emphatic relationship between the subjects attitude towards yogurt and other probiotics, and general health awareness of the subject.
