Originally published London 1924. This fascinating book contains many anecdotes drawn from the author's lifetime of roaming and stalking the deer forests of Scotland. The illustrated contents hold many tips, and much advice and observation on deerstalking that will prove of great interest to today's sportsman. Contents include: Stalkers and Stalking - In the Forests - Stray Stalking Notes - After Dinner Stalking Yarns - Records of Stalks - Other Stalkers. etc. Many of the earliest deer and deerstalking books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Home Farm Books are republishing many of these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
