Product Description The book offers Biblical instruction for fasting and prayer as well as a collection of prayers for daily petition, confession and proclamation. Fasting and Prayer encourages prayer discipline as a motivation to endure and overcome those personal disappointments, distractions, circumstances, incidents, struggles, etc., that we frequently face on our journey through life. In addition, the global unrest; the moral and spiritual decay in the world, has distanced us from God! Communion with God through prayer and fasting provides the needed guidance, consolation and assurance to overcome all that concerns us. Prayer edifies and strengthens, while fasting teaches obedience to God, sacrifice and commitment for an enriched relationship with God. All natural appetites----food, sex and greed----are surrendered to God when we fast. Also, fasting can promote healing in the physical body If we would recognize the degraded state of our heart and return to fasting and prayer, our lives and the lives of multitudes would be so blessed. Men should always pray and never faint. . Daily prayer and intercession is far-reaching. Souls are saved; the plans of the enemy are foiled; bodies are healed; the power of God is released for inspiration, perception, miracles, godly wisdom, fruitfulness, witty inventions, changed hearts, forgiveness, and restoration, etc. God does answer prayer! Wrapped with reflective personal insight and eye-opening biblical teaching, The Power of Fasting and Prayer is a "must read " for searching hearts desirous of a rewarding prayer life. The book is an easy read and a great study for home cell groups, Sunday school classes, seminars, support groups, and health education.
