Product Description Keith is down on his luck. His wife has left him, he's chucked in his job and he's on the road trying to track down his father Jack, in remote Wanea. He needs some answers, some direction but will he find any from a father he hasn't seen in ten years? Not since the death of Keith's mother, Jack's wife, have they barely spoken. At first their relationship is icy but before long they find they need each other to become whole. To complete their lives. Jack finally opens up to Keith and takes him on a journey into a troubled past. A past growing up in rural New Zealand during World War Two when times were harsher, sometimes brutal and always unforgiving. Yet he shows Keith the beauty of those times and helps a lost son to find a purpose to his life and appreciate what was always right there in front of him. A tale of violence and hate. Of love and forgiveness. A suspenseful adventure from the past to modern day that will make the reader laugh, cry and cheer for the characters. And at times grip the edge of their seat as they are taken on a ride simply called life! About the Author First time novelist David J. Daniel lives in beautiful New Zealand with his wife and three children. Along with writing, David has had a career as a Police Officer and as a Aviation Security Sergeant. A keen outdoorsman will see the author, when not writing, fishing, kayaking, tramping and hunting.
