About the Author: I began writing essays in an English 1 class and was complimented on my creativity. I continued to write at home for my own entertainment and that lead me to writing poetry in the mid 1980s. And I taught myself to write rhyming verse poetry. I wasnt even aware of free style poetry, the kind of poetry that doesnt rhyme. I have been to such readings and listened to poets recite in vague obscurity. We read and listen to poetry that leaves us looking through a haze wondering what it means, like looking at paintings with dim scenery. My rhyming verse poetry paints images that are easy to envision. My poems will send you on a crystal clear magic carpet ride. My poems will make hardened hearts seek love again. Make a monk throw abstinence to the wind and go on a lustful binge. My poetry is as easy to perceive as watching the sun set beyond the horizon, or a hurricane looming on the eve of destruction. My book For all Occasions Poetry by Sharrieff is a must have for poetry readers. For it will charm, soothe and stir your emotions like a potion. Abdul al Matin Sharrieff
