Product Description The reader's decisions control a series of adventures involving travel into the past, including visits to Napoleon, Queen Elizabeth, and other historic figures. From School Library Journal Grade 4-6 These books attempt to use the participation format to emphasize Christian decision-making. General. . . is a confusing hodgepodge of fantasy, history, and biblical incidents, with little distinction made between them. It is carelessly structured, with some inaccurate page directions. Dog Food. . . wavers between science fiction and Sunday-School tract missionary lessons. The story lines are more coherent than in General . . . , but the book is also more didactic. Both books have grotesque cartoon illustrations. A disservice to both participation stories and to Christian fiction.Copyright 1988 Reed Business Information, Inc.
