Summary Biogeography is the study of the distribution patterns of organisms. The biogeographical patterns associated with the radiation of individual clad during the Early Palaeozoic reflect a complex combination of plate distribution, tectonic activity, sedimentary environment, sea-level rise and climatic gradient.
