How to Become More Successful with Difficult Students is thought-provoking and personifies the plight of young adults in our ever-changing and complex, modern society Gary Mala- Award-winning School Superintendent and ProfessorAre you one of the millions of educators who feel burnt out and ready to throw up your hands, knowing students' behaviors are becoming more difficult each school year? Today's educators know that the old classroom discipline is a thing of the past. Discipline in the classroom has broken down. And without much help from the home or society, fixing poor classroom behavior has fallen mostly onto the shoulders of the public school educators. Today's educators want to improve students' behaviors to teach again and help our youth take full advantage of their free public education.Unfortunately, terrible student behavior and lack of support are standing in the way of educational progress. The breakdown of society respect or any respect and the glorification of reality television and bad behavior that gets rewarded is hitting our public educational system hard. Educators must find a better way to get student behavior under control. We have to better prepare our youth for the way they need to conduct themselves in the workplace if they will have any chance in life of supporting themselves and their future families. If we fail, we will have a generation of socially and emotionally inept children who lack self-discipline and self-regulation. We all know that our youth's education, self-discipline, and a positive future are at stake here.
