This is the story of the first three years of the Jackson presidency. The book covers other events in the United States during that period. Andrew Jackson himself is the focus of this work, but there were many actors on the national stage. Presidential attitudes toward the Native Americans shaped Indian policy. Jackson's cabinet supported his ideas on money, politics, and other issues. This book gives a true understanding of President Jackson. The real Jackson was a man of controversy and different from the usual conception of a flawless president. This is a concise history of power, passion, romance and honour.
