Jumpstart Healthy Evangelism demystifies evangelism, grounds in human experience, and makes it attaintable for the average person. It is the result of lived experience through life-on-life evangelistic friendships across a diverse spectrum of people. It also stems from the experience of training churches from coast to coast in evangelistic practices, proven effective at opening up spiritual dialog and meeting people where they are. Jumpstart Healthy Evangelism walks through simple layers of conversational practice for connecting with people not yet following Jesus, and it provides guidance for starting communities of discipleship for developing faith where people already are. While affirming the existing church, this book seeks to mobilize the body of Christ to move beyond its boundaries to share hope, grace, and love. It is a practical guide for jumpstarting Christian witness, forming discipleship in the context of shared community, and seeing ministry grow beyond ourselves. At the heart of the book, is the idea that evangelism is a pastoral act and rejects the trap of objectifying our friends, coworkers or neighbors.
