"King of the Jews: Jesus and the Messianic Age" attempts to resurrect the original mission and message of Jesus, the Messiah. It presents a portrait of Jesus rarely seen by the average person. It is a portrait of a very Jewish Jesus whose passion for God and the people of Israel drove him to abandon his family, seek a new home miles from his own Nazareth, and then travel the countryside with his companions spreading his message. Jesus is presented as a powerful and regal figure who believed his mission was to establish a new political and theocratic orderthe Messianic Agewhere he would rule under God's authority as kingMessiah.
