Founded in 1976, Kohn Pedersen Fox is based in New York, with offices in London and Tokyo. With works in 30 countries, they are well known for design that responds to its environment, both in terms of its physical context and its sustainability. The works have earned KPF recognition as one of the most respected architectural design firms in the world. They have been the recipient of numerous awards, recognizing the wide range of design and technical accomplishments.KPF believes that design emerges from an intensive dialogue with the client, the site, and the program, with the balance between these forces as the primary goal of the design process. The work is driven by design intent, not a predetermined design style. The works are structures that are intimately connected to function and context, and that achieve a degree of craft and detail that elevates them to the highest level of both beauty and practicality.
