About the Author About the Author Dr. Steven L. Thompson was born October 22, 1967, to Bobby and Merla Thompson in Indianapolis, IN. He is the fourth of seven siblings. Dr. Thompson was united in holy matrimony to JoAnn Clark in 1988. To this union were born four children: Jesse, Stephen, Jasmine, and Serena. Dr. Thompson was educated in Indianapolis public schools, graduating from Perry Meridian High School with highlights in art and music (singing and trumpeting). Furthering his education he graduated from Martin University, with a degree in Religious Studies. He later attended Indiana Wesleyan University, earning his Masters in Ministerial Leadership. In February, 2008, Grace Bible College, Louisville, KY., honored him with the Doctorate of Divinity degree followed by his second honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from Aenon Bible College, Indianapolis, IN., in August 2011. On January 3, 1993, Dr. Thompson, founded God's Grace Community Church, Indianapolis, IN., and continues in the office of senior pastor today. He is an active leader to other pastors and ministers both locally and internationally. In January, 2008, he co-founded God's Grace Community Church, Cape Town, South Africa, which serves nearly 200 active attendees in worship. Dr. Thompson is the founder of the Christian Fellowship of Churches International (C. F. of C. I.), which provides counsel, discipleship training, pastor to pastor training, and worship fellowship for ministers in leadership roles. He is also the founder of Operation Hope, a community social service agency, which focuses on domestic support, peer to peer training, and family education. Dr. Thompson began preaching at the tender age of 20, and has travelled the globe preaching and teaching the gospel in the Philippines, South Africa, Nigeria, Nairobi Kenya, Europe and the United States, with a unique ability to connect with people of all cultures and ethnicities around the world. Dr. Thompson has presently written books on male leadership and ministry tips, both soon to be published.
