Product Description Meandering in the West is the second of a five book series entitled "The Maverick Series." In the western states we enjoyed the rugged pristine beaches and the stately lighthouses of the Pacific Coast, the glorious mountain ranges, and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Also included, are stories of three trips to Mexico: Mazatlan, Keno Bay, and Puerto Penasco. Even more enjoyable than the obvious "sights and sites" were the surprising discoveries we encountered while exploring side roads and remote areas. The book shares these stories too! About the Author Born in Minnesota, while married with four children I earned a Master's Degree in Art. Creating an elementary art program for a school in Wisconsin, I wrote an Art Curriculum for grades 1-7. For ten years, teaching 700 students a week, I submitted numerous articles regarding our more unique projects, which were published in a National monthly magazine for Art Educators. In 1979, the family grown, we retired early. With a boat atop our pickup, towing an Airstream trailer, we began a full time RV lifestyle. For 25 years we traveled across USA, Canada and Mexico. Winters are now spent in Benson, AZ. Summers are still spent traveling.
